The team sponsored by IDASA-Jenoptik has completed the short but intense season of the Challenge Nissan 2006.

The Pick Up de Nissan sponsored by Ingeniería de Aplicaciones, S.A. carried out on 4th y 5th November the last rally of the season of the Challenge Nissan 2006: the rally Montes de Cuenca. This year the season has consisted of 5 races, all of them were disputed without any kind of mishaps. The list of races is as follows:

The team is very satisfied with the results they have got.Comparing them with the previous season, the improvement has been substantial. In the first season of the Challenge Nissan the pick up sponsored by IDASA, S.A. finished 2 races of the 5 which were disputed, whereas the other 3 could not be finished due to technical reasons. However, this year, the team has achieved to finish the 5 disputed races successfully with the particularity that it has scored in all of them, getting a total of 28 points.

In spite of being very far for fighting for the first positions if we compare with the 104 points of the winner of the category, the improvement has been very important, so it is possible to aspire to improve the classifications in next seasons. But if we consider the different races disputed during this year, we will check that even having finished all the rallys the season has not been in no way, a walk for our skilled pilots.

During the first race, the Rally Ramblas del Huercal Overa, due to a mechanical problem occurred in the clutch made the car could not run powerfully.

The second race, Rally Ibérico Trans Algarve, although they did not have any mechanical problem, they ran under the hardest climatologic conditions, with a lot of water and mud in the route.

It was during the third rally of the Challenge Nissan, Baja España where the team suffered a little more. Apart from the high temperatures along with the rocky and dusty route of the desert of Los Monegros, the pilots suffered a spectacular accident which marked the rest of the race, although this fact did not prevent them to get the best results of the season.

In the fourth rally of the season, Baja Portalegre, the team had a mechanical breakdown in the differential of the Pick-up. This forced them to finish the race having two driving wheels only, this fact made difficult to get a good result in the league table. Moreover, during the repairing of the differential the team was delayed and this fact made that the judges penalized them for exceeding the time estimated for maintenance of the car.

LThe last race of the season, Montes de Cuenca, due to the heavy rains in the zone the week before the celebration of the rally, the team sponsored by IDASA had to face some conditions very similar to the fourth race, this fact caused to come off the road in a curve banging into a stone. Although the impact was very hard and spectacular, the incident could be solved by replacing the wheel. Even having all these mishaps, the team has finished the year getting a commendable thirteenth position of the general classification and this fact satisfies so much to the pilots as to the sponsors. Both wish to be able to repeat next year provided that the circumstances are favourable.
