Idasa-Jenoptik has carried out successfully the installation of the first Votan A in Turkey. The automated cell, located in an important Turkish Unternehmen, has been installed to carry out the micro drilling of the airbag in the panel of instruments of one of the main marks of the market.

At the end of November the installation of the automated cell laser micro drilling started in the installations of ASSAN & ANIL, Turkey. After 3 weeks it was initiated the starting of the machine together with the respective training courses for the workers of the machine. In the picture on the left, the technical team of Jenoptik along with the representative of IDASA in Turkey, Tayfun Akpolat and the people in charge of the workshop.

The micro drilling is a technique that consists of the generation of a series of correlative points forming a cut perimeter. These points, with a studied and predefined depth, weaken the material, enabling the opening of the airbag, being non visible for the user of the vehicle.

The micro drilling generation requires a system of detection and control highly sophisticated that enables to carry out the weakening with all the necessary guarantees of security for the carrying out of the Airbag.
The micro drilling VOTAN A was installed in the plant ASSAN & HANIL, a big factory premises located in Izmir, at less than 100 Kms. From Istanbul, one of the main cities of Turkey and one of the neuralgic centres of the Turkish industry.
