The MCA Automation forum is ready to take place

After 16 months of work, the MCA Automation Forum is now ready to be held. The Forum has been promoted by a group of professionals specialized in communication, automation and industrial control at Ferran Puig Vilar request and is chaired by Gabriel Ferraté Pascual, who won the National Automation Award 2004 and has been the Rector of the Technical University of Catalonia for more than 20 years. Technologies that aim at improving the design of products and equipments, increasing industrial output, enhancing the security and comfort of homes and large facilities, optimizing services and mobility and conserving environment have all a common invisible thread: Automation. Around 400 speakers, of whom 50 come from outside Spain and belong to the top international companies of each specialty, will give shape to 47 conferences grouped in 7 areas of automation applciation and its associated problems. The organizers of the Automation Forum have tried, by choosing conference managers that come from the automation industry, that papers have a practical approach and are oriented towards the daily problems of the profession. Miquel Seriola, Manager Director of Ingeniería de Aplicaciones, S.A., is the manager of the conference entitled "Autoagro, a new era for agricultural production processes". It is common ground that current production processes in the agricultural field need automatic systems that permit to control all the process, from the elevation, to the production, collection, distribution and reuse of products. On the other hand, the time factor is critical for the expiration of the product and that is why any system that enables companies to put the product at the disposal of end users in the best conditions and with the maximum warranties of quality is required. The purpose of the conference is to show some examples of the new design of current systems that have been enhanced with new parameters and technologies used in other fields. Engineers and technicians coming from agricultural production companies, food product distribution companies and from phytosanitary control companies will be able to see some examples of software applications and developments concerning traceability, quality and paperwork processing, satellite control systems, effective use of hydraulic resources, just in time agri-food products, product quality control by machine vision, ultrasonic cutting processes, robot guidance by machine vision, etc. Ingeniería de Aplicaciones is proud to participate in these conferences and invites everyone to attend them so as to improve the technology used in the automation industry at all levels on a daily basis, which will lead to a better final quality of products.
