Laser Microperforation
IDASA sells Jenoptik's unique Jenoptik VOTAN™ A micro-perforation technology, allowing the use of a laser beam to make a pre-cut, obtaining a residual wall that is always constant. In this way, constant, controlled resistance to breakage is obtained, which can be regulated depending on the requirements of the application. Another big advantage of this application is its invisibility on the exterior face of the pre-cut, so it can be carried out on pieces that are visible in the final product.
Nowadays most makes of car use this technology for cutting the flap for fitting the airbag.
This technology can be used for micro-perforating all kinds of plastic materials, as well as textile materials.
