Idasa develops the fastest milling cell

IDASA has developed the fastest and most effective MILLING cell in terms of productivity. Given the constant increase in sales in the car industry, the problem has emerged of carrying out all the drilling on the vehicle's instrument panel or dashboard using MILLING systems. As well as reliable, this system is rigorously flexible, as the 'milling cutter' is linked to a robot that goes all round the dashboard to cut off the surplus material during the manufacturing process.

It is an innovative cell in terms of its manageability and programming system. Using the IDASAPROGRAMING system, the cell can be programmed from any workstation and the program is directly passed on to the robot carrying out the panel cutting. The cabin where the whole system is located is self-supporting and independent and incorporates an electricity generating unit together with a vacuum pump to hold the part. The cell can work in any part of the factory without the need for additional facilities and has been conceived for creating prototypes or TRIAL series of vehicles. Another of its advantages is that it can go into production at any time.
