JENOPTIK Automatisierungstechnik GmbH"s management visits IDASA

On 20 February, management from JENOPTIK Automatisierungstechnik GmbH, led by Mr. Faistel, together with the head of the technical service, Mr. Ossig, visited IDASA's facilities at Sant Quirze in order to inspect the new laser cutting machine developed jointly by JENOPTIK and IDASA.

The machine has a 300W laser installed, coupled to an ABB 2400 robot, enabling it to cut plastics and wood in three dimensions. The machine also incorporates a turntable with a working area of approximately 1900 x 900 and a turning time of 4.2s. The whole machine is compact and can easily be transported. The co-operation between JENOPTIK and IDASA does not end with this machine. New projects are currently being developed in order to provide reliable solutions for using laser technology in industry.
