K2007 | IDASA and the K
The international plastic exhibition had, this year, par excellence a record of Spanish presence, IDASA was present along with a commercial delegation in order to not to miss the opportunity to know the recent advances concerning to the plastic field.
The K 2007 exhibition was held from 24th to 31st October, and it broke the record on the contracted squared meters and also on the participant companies. More than 18 companies from the Spanish market took part as exhibitors in the K, occupying 650 square of surface.
Amongst the exhibits of these companies there were Polyamide compounds, Stabilizers for PVC, Masterbatches for PVC, Polymethacrylate Plates, Polyethylene and Polypropylene, Pumps and flexible Pipes of PVC and Polyethylene, Plates of transparent plastics (PS, SAN, PC, PET and PETG), Chemical Specialities, PVC ProFichiers and other plastics, Thermoplastic compounds, Calcic Carbonate Masterbatches, Moulds, Machinery for Injection-Blow-up of PET and Machinery for Quality Control and packaging.
These 18 participant companies are located in Cataluña and Valencia, two autonomous regions of a strong implantation in the Spanish plastic industry. Also Madrid, País Vasco and Aragón participated with a Compagnie each region.
In general the K exhibition ended up by covering the most optimistic expectations. The good economic conditions of the months prior to the fair already predicted good results for one of the most important fair in the world in the plastic field, and all those expectations were confirmed throughout the eights days of duration of the fair, where many business were made – some of them for important volumes – and, also new and relevant collaborations between the main plastic and rubber companies were strengthen in the occasion of this event.
More than 242.000 visitors coming from more than 100 different countries surpassed in 11.000 the number of visitors of the last edition of the K exhibition in 2004. The 55% of the visitors came from Europe, whereas the remaining 45% came from the rest of the world. From this figures, we can remark that the number of visitors coming from Asia has increased in a considerable way with regard to the previous fair. Approximately 30.000 specialists from the Asiatic continent, 7.000 more than in 2004, met in Düsseldorf.
The presentation of the K 2007 had an enthusiastic response on the part of the visitors coming from all over the world. The numerous and varied presentations, expert conferences and tables of discussions served, for example, to start with the new treatment for the polymers.
All the organization was carried out by the German plastics organization along with the Messe Düsseldorf, which are working already for the next appointment, that will take place within 3 years: from 27th October to 3rd November 2010.
